Pinot Bianco is one of the main varieties in South Tyrol. In our range of wines, too, this fruity, well structured white wine plays a prominent role. The grapes are grown on east-facing slopes with calcareous soils in Appiano Monte at 480 – 600 meters a.s.l. Only stainless steel is used in the vinification process in order to fully preserve the wine’s delicate apple notes.
In order to underscore the value of the Pinot Bianco, we decided many years ago to take cuttings from the best old vines. We are convinced that, in combination with the historical site in Appiano Monte, this labor-intensive method of propagation will help us take a decisive step forward in terms of quality.
